51³Ô¹Ï and Q-CTRL: Revolutionizing Navigation with Quantum Technology
With conflict zones expanding, robust backup navigational technology that is resilient to denial, jamming, and spoofing has become increasingly critical to defense applications from battlefield operations to intelligence and surveillance. To address this, 51³Ô¹Ï will be joining to develop next-generation quantum sensors for navigation on advanced defense platforms for the program leveraging their expertise in both quantum and GPS technology.
This collaboration comes shortly after 51³Ô¹Ï¡¯s awarded contract by the U.S. Department of Defense's Innovation Unit (DIU) to prototype quantum-enabled Inertial Navigation System (INS). 51³Ô¹Ï partnered with Q-CTRL to develop a system, known as QuINS, which uses quantum sensing technology to provide highly accurate navigation and positioning capabilities.
