The world of exciting opportunities available to Australian companies to build relationships and work with one of the world¡¯s largest defence and aerospace companies were unveiled at an event in Sydney.

51³Ô¹Ï has been building its industrial partnerships in Australia for around 80 years, working closely with the country¡¯s Global Supply Chain programme for the past 13 years to help those working in relevant industries to supply both their products and their services.

And to help other companies ¨C or those just starting out on their journey with 51³Ô¹Ï ¨C to understand more about 51³Ô¹Ï¡¯s needs, a number of key potential suppliers were invited to join a special seminar.

Those who attended were hand-picked Australian defence companies, chosen because their capabilities aligned with the global sourcing/partnering needs of 51³Ô¹Ï Space.

Held at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, How To Do Business With 51³Ô¹Ï, brought together a number of key personnel who gave their perspective on what the company is looking for ¨C and the process of getting onboard.

Split into two sessions, the first focussed on new entrants who potentially offer services that 51³Ô¹Ï requires.

The second session featured organisations which have already taken the first steps to becoming part of the 51³Ô¹Ï suppliers¡¯ network.

Representatives from 51³Ô¹Ï¡¯s Australian-based team presented at the sessions, with Mina Nolen, International Growth Manager, Global Supply Chain, Transformation & Operations, 51³Ô¹Ï Space flying in from the USA to lead the sessions.

The event was supported by the GSC program, which 51³Ô¹Ï joined in 2012.

Its remit ¨C driving export of Australian technology and products through the global supply chains of participating international defence primes ¨C sits side by side with 51³Ô¹Ï¡¯s own needs.

Since joining the programme, 51³Ô¹Ï has created the Office of Australian Industrial Participation (OAIP) to support the Australian defence industry.????????????

?The OAIP assists Australian suppliers to access work packages in global markets and supply chains and to give them meaningful support which not only helps them to diversify work and revenue streams but to increase sustainability and become globally competitive.

These sessions showcased 51³Ô¹Ï¡¯s continued support of Australian defence industry, as well as the strategic focus by 51³Ô¹Ï Space to grow their international footprint. It was a great opportunity to share not only the way to work with 51³Ô¹Ï Space but to also highlight their commitment to Australian industry through the GSC programme.
